Data deletion

How to delete data, what is removed, and when.

Last updated 21 October 2026

If you are an agency admin

You can remove access yourself from your workspace:

  • A report, dashboard or insight: take it off the portal, turn off its public link, or remove a person you shared it with. The client stops seeing it at once.
  • A client contact: remove their access. You can undo it for 30 days.
  • A client: end the relationship. Every contact loses access at once, and the policy you chose for that client applies: its reports are kept read only, handed over as an export, or deleted after 90 days.
  • A team member: disable their access. Their grants, connector and sign-in are removed at once. You can restore them for 30 days. After that they need a new invite.
  • A connector: revoke it. The AI tool it was set up in can no longer reach SnowDots.

To delete a report and its context record, a client and everything under it, or the whole workspace, email us as set out below.

If you want us to delete your data

This applies to anyone: an agency member, a client contact, or a person whose data appears in an agency’s report. Email hello@snowdots.com with the subject “Delete my data”. Tell us the email address you used and, if you know it, the agency. We will confirm we have your request, and complete it, within 30 days.

If your data sits in an agency’s client portal, the agency decides what happens to it. We will pass your request to the agency and tell you we have done so.

What is deleted, and when

DataDeleted
Reports, context records, comments and the data in themWithin 30 days of the request or account closure, or 90 days after a client ends when the agency chose deletion for it
Account and team member detailsWithin 30 days of the request or account closure
BackupsRemoved when the backups that hold it expire. Until then they are kept secure and used only to recover from an incident
Demo request detailsWithin 30 days of the request

What we may keep

We may keep a record that a deletion happened, security logs, and anything we must keep to meet a legal duty or settle a dispute. We keep it only as long as needed.

Data outside SnowDots

SnowDots does not connect to your clients’ platform accounts, so there is no platform connection to revoke here. Deleting data from SnowDots does not delete copies held elsewhere:

  • Your AI tool: conversations and files in Claude, Codex or another tool stay there until you delete them in that tool.
  • The platforms: the original data stays in Google, Meta, Shopify and the others. Manage it in those platforms.
  • Connectors you set up in your AI tool: remove them in that tool, and revoke their access at the platform.
