SnowDots brand guidelines
Download this simple kit to learn more about using the SnowDots logo, with the files and the rules together in one place.
Logo
The horizontal logo lockup is our primary logo and should be used for most communications.
The vertical lockup should only be used when there are space or size constraints, but the context still requires showing the SnowDots symbol and wordmark together, such as on a digital display.
Clear space
The clear space zone keeps the logo legible and gives it impact by separating it from competing elements such as text or supporting graphics. Treat this clear space as the absolute minimum safe distance. In most cases, give the logo even more room.
Clear space for both lockups is equal to the height of the symbol.
Keep the horizontal lockup at 96 px wide or larger on screen, and the vertical lockup at 64 px wide or larger.
Color
Our logo keeps its three dot colors, from light blue to deep indigo as the dots grow, and one wordmark color. The wordmark is ink on white or light grey backgrounds.
When the logo is placed on a black background, the dots switch to the on-dark set while the wordmark appears in white.

Favicons and app icons
The symbol stands alone only in small, square spaces where a lockup cannot fit: browser tabs, home screens and app stores. Use the files in the kit as supplied.
The favicon is the symbol on a transparent background. It switches to the on-dark colors in a dark browser theme, and the small dot stays visible down to 16 px.
App icons are full-bleed squares with the symbol centered at a little over half the width. Do not add rounded corners, a border or a shadow: iOS and Android apply their own mask. The corners below only preview it.

Partnerships
When pairing the SnowDots logo with a partner logo, both should appear equal in size and optically balanced. In all logo variations, the space between the logos should be the width of the SnowDots three-dot symbol.
In SnowDots-led co-branding, the SnowDots logo should always be to the left of or above the partner logo, depending on the arrangement.

SnowDots brand usage guidelines
These guidelines help partners, writers and other third parties use the SnowDots brand assets correctly. Use the assets only in the forms and the ways shown on this page.
SnowDots brand assets
The brand assets are the name SnowDots, the horizontal and vertical logo lockups, the three-dot symbol, the wordmark, and the descriptions and taglines SnowDots publishes.
How to use, and how not to use, the brand assets
Do not use the brand assets as part of your own logos, company names, icons, product or feature names, domain names, social media handles or avatars. Do not combine or intermingle them with your own logo. They must stay separate.
Do not modify the brand assets in any way. That includes changing their colors or proportions, covering or printing over any part of them, or adding your own design elements.
When you design your own website or marketing materials, do not imitate the distinctive look and feel of the SnowDots website, product, logo, colors, icons or marketing materials.
Do not use the brand assets in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation with SnowDots. Do not make them larger or more prominent than your own brand. When you mention SnowDots, your reference must clearly and accurately describe your relationship to it.
Writing the name
In text, write the name with a capital S and a capital D: SnowDots. Do not write Snowdots, Snow Dots or SNOWDOTS. In a web address or an email address, lowercase is correct.
